Vancouver Women's Field Hockey Association: Tamanawis Requirements

Tamanawis COVID-19 Safety Requirements

Version Date: October 19, 2020

City of Surrey’s Reporting Requirement for Tamanawis

  • Within 24 hours of a game and/or practice, all teams that played at Tamanawis must each submit an event attendee register to the City of Surrey.

  • What does each team need to do?

  1. Complete the following fillable PDF: Event Attendee Registration Form provided by the City of Surrey and email it to contacttracinginfo@surrey.ca

  2. Save the PDF using the following format: Date – Park – Field # - Club - Team

  3. Email Subject Line: Date – Park – Field # - Club - Team

  • What happens to the contact information submitted?

The information will be retained for 30-days and used for contact tracing purposes only.  In the event of an outbreak, the City will be able to immediately supply the Public Health Officer with lists of scheduled participants, minimizing any time delays in initiating contact tracing protocols.  Additional requests would then be sent to the specified user groups, with formal requests for the confirmed daily attendance records to be provided asap to Fraser Health.

  • What happens if these requirements aren’t followed?

Any inaccurate lists, non-retention issues or non-compliance issues will be subject to possible suspension and/or revoking of facility rental permits.

Facility Access

  1. All change rooms will be closed, washrooms are open and accessible in emergency situations only. The water spout is shut due to COVID concerns, so players will have to bring their own water bottle from home.

  2. Only players, coaches, manager, first aid attendants, trainers and safety officers, league officials and Umpires are allowed participation.

  3. The benches and technical areas will be open, but two-meter social distancing is mandatory at all times at the team benches.

  4. Spectator Benches Closed: Parents, guardians and spectators are not allowed either on the field or on the spectator benches that are inside the perimeter as that would exceed the maximum allowable gathering limit of 50 people at any event as per the BC Provincial Health Officer order.

  5. Players should not arrive at the parking lot any sooner than 30 minutes before the scheduled start time.

  6. All participants will wait until the field has been vacated by the previous group before entering the field of play. Participants will enter the field of play at the gate closest to the parking lot after the entire previous group has left the field. By the end of their time slot, all participants must immediately leave the facility. Participants will exit the field of play at the gate furthest from the parking lot.
